New trailer for Phoenix Raei’s ROTTEN drops and it’s everything we dreamed it would be

The first trailer has arrived for Phoenix Raei’s feature film debut, ROTTEN, and it’s as gross and terrifying and ridiculously awesome as we could have wished it to be. Feast your eyes upon this snapshot of one of the most unsettling Australian horror films of the year.
The film follows Emily, a successful real estate consultant who travels to a remote island to secure a land deal for wealthy clients. What begins as routine work quickly unravels when she becomes the latest victim in a string of abductions haunting the small community. As the local police struggle to make headway, Jerry—a sharp-witted postmaster with Down syndrome—begins connecting the pieces, drawing Emily and the townsfolk into a confrontation with horrors they can barely comprehend.
ROTTEN screens at Monster Fest in Melbourne on Saturday the 4th of October at 4:30pm at Cinema Nova.
