KING KONG (1976) 4K Restoration Screening In Melbourne This Saturday
Following their MONKEY SHINES screening earlier this month, Cinemaniacs continue their simian cinema streak with a presentation of director John Guillermin’s KING KONG (1976) in a stunning 4K Restoration at Melbourne’s Astor Theatre this Saturday Night.
While sailing to Polynesia, Fred Wilson discovers a stowaway on board who speaks of a monster living on Crane Island. Later on the voyage, Dwan, a shipwrecked girl, is rescued and brought on board. The boat sails to Crane Island where Dwan is kidnapped. The natives take her to King Kong: a gigantic gorilla who immediately falls in love with her…
