MONSTER FEST TRAVELLING SIDESHOW Perth First Wave Line-Up Announcement!
MONSTER FEST TRAVELLING SIDESHOW returns to Perth at Event Cinemas Innaloo from Friday October 19th to Sunday October 21st with a host of World, Australian and Western Australian premieres!
Our Monster Fest Travelling Sideshow audiences will be the first in the world to see writer/director Robbie Studsor’s highly anticipated BURNING KISS in its Hometown Premiere. This hallucinogenic summer noir cocktail spiked with suspense is concocted as the unexpected arrival of a stranger ignites an inferno of secrets and guilt, complicating the relationship between a father and his daughter.
From producer Dallas Sonnier and writer S. Craig Zahler, the acclaimed team behind BRAWL IN CELL BLOCK 99 and BONE TOMAHAWK comes a terrifying new vision of Charles Band’s horror classic, PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH in its West Australian Premiere. Helmed by Swedish genre raconteurs Sonny Laguna & Tommy Wiklund (WE ARE THE MONSTERS, WITHER), this blood-soaked instalment acts as both a sequel and refresh of the beloved PUPPET MASTER franchise.
John Carpenter’s wildly underrated exercise in escalating dread and writhing atmosphere, PRINCE OF DARKNESS, will have its World Premiere in a stunning all-new 4K Restoration. Carpenter fans will be pleased to hear that we’re doubling down with the Australian Premiere of THEY LIVE in an all-new 4K Restoration, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of this subversive and sublime sci-fi classic.
Our last two reveals on this first wave announcement for our Perth leg of Monster Fest Travelling Sideshow work as perfect companions to one another.
First up is the Western Australian Premiere of WOLFMAN’S GOT NARDS, a lovingly crafted feature-length documentary on the enduring legacy of the 1987 classic THE MONSTER SQUAD, directed by André Gower, who played Sean in the film.
Finally we are pleased to host a retrospective screening of Fred Dekker’s THE MONSTER SQUAD, a kick-ass celebration of Universal Monsters and everything eighties that pits a motley crew of kids head-to-head with a legion of ghouls.

w/ Q&A by Cast & Crew
It’s been 6 long years since the hit and run accident that put disgraced former detective Edmond Bloom in a wheelchair and killed his wife Juliette. With the killer never identified, Edmond spends his days pouring over clues under the care of his submissive 20-year-old daughter Charlotte whom he indirectly blames for the tragedy. On a hot summer’s day, a broken and remorseful stranger appears claiming to be the driver of the car the night of the accident and begs Edmond for either forgiveness or punishment. With the killer now revealed, Edmond can finally get closure on what happened. The problem is, Edmond didn’t catch him and there’s no way he will let 6 years of hard detective work go to waste. Instead of seeking retribution for the past, he concocts a selfish and dangerous plan involving himself, the stranger and his daughter. Guilt, desire and resentment surface as the plan spirals out of control.
