Monster Gets MIFF’d
The Melbourne International Film Festival launched its long-awaited full program online on Tuesday (the 5th of July) night to many a oooh and aahhh. A veritable treasure trove of exciting new cinema from around the world, Monster Pictures is proud to reveal that several of its recent acquisitions feature in this year's amazing line-up.
Direct from successful screenings at the Sydney Film Festival, music video wunderkind Nicolas Pesce’s haunting debut feature THE EYES OF MY MOTHER and SUNTAN – Argyris Papadimitropoulos’s meditation on a middle-aged doctor’s decent into obsession – make their Victorian debuts alongside the Australian premiere of Billy O’Brien’s third feature, I AM NOT A SERIAL KILLER. Starring WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE’s Max Records and Emmet ‘Doc’ Brown himself, Christopher Lloyd, I AM NOT A SERIAL KILLER, based on a Dan Wells novel of the same name, follows a young man who uses his tightly controlled darker impulses to solve a spate of grisly killings in his small midwestern town.
Tickets for MIFF go on sale on Friday the 8th of July and can be purchased either through their website or via the MIFF app, available on both IOS and Android devices.
