Australia’s premier genre film festival, MONSTER FEST wrapped our most successful edition to date last night in Melbourne with the Australian Premiere of Coralie Fargeat’s REVENGE as the Closing Night Film followed by the annual awards ceremony acknowledging the best of this year’s impressive lineup.
We would like to thank our Major Sponsors, Lido Cinemas and Swinburne University of Technology Media & Communications; our Government Sponsors, Screen Australia and Film Victoria Australia; Award and Festival Sponsor, Ozflix; festival sponsors, Universal Pictures, Beserk, Eerie Tours, GearHead, Roar Digital, Red Octopus, Heavy Mag, FilmInk, Screen Space, Xtreem Print & Display & Beek Creative.
We would like to thank all of the filmmakers who not only allowed us to be their platform to premiere their film here in Australia but for their truly remarkable art, we are honoured to be a part of your creative release process.
We would also like to thank the volunteers who gave up their time, energy and gave it their all to make both staff and audiences always know what was happening. Particular thanks to our interstate mates, Vanessa Gudgeon, Duncan Shaw & Clint Cure who travelled at their own expense to volunteer at the festival, you are MONSTER FEST family and we sincerely appreciate everything.
Most importantly we would like to THANK YOU, our MONSTER FEST audiences who year after year have come to support genre cinema from all around the world particularly emerging Australian genre cinema and have enabled us to grow into Australia’s premier genre film festival.
