Return to where it all began when MONSTER FEST comes home to Cinema Nova from Thursday November 22nd to Sunday November 25th for MONSTER FEST VII: THE HOMECOMING.

A stolid, old guard policeman, Ridgeman (Mel Gibson) and his volatile younger partner, Anthony (Vince Vaughn), find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arming tactics become the media’s special du jour. Low on cash and with no other options, these two embittered soldiers descend into the criminal underworld to gain their due, but instead find far more than they wanted awaiting them in the shadows.

With the killer now revealed, Edmond can finally get closure on what happened. The problem is, Edmond didn’t catch him and there’s no way he will let 6 years of hard detective work go to waste. Instead of seeking retribution for the past, he concocts a selfish and dangerous plan involving himself, the stranger and his daughter. Guilt, desire and resentment surface as the plan spirals out of control.

Oslo, 1987. Seventeen year-old Euronymous (Rory Culkin) is determined to escape his idyllic Scandinavian hometown and create “true Norwegian black metal” with his band, MAYHEM. He’s joined by equally fanatical youths – Dead (Jack Kilmer) and Varg (Emory Cohen). Believing that they’re on the cusp of a musical revolution, the group gets even darker driven by the black metal dogma to spread evil. They begin burning down churches throughout the countryside and stealing tombstones for their record store.
