US Trailer & Release Date Announced For Mike Green’s OUTBACK!

FANGORIA x MONSTER FEST 2019 Official Selection OUTBACK has been acquired by Lionsgate for US distribution and they’ve just released artwork and a trailer for the film, ahead of its June 9th release.

Check out the trailer below that has an opening narration vaguely familiar of Tobe Hooper’s THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE.

Written and directed by award-winning shorts filmmaker Mike Green, OUTBACK is an immersive and gruelling survival thriller set in the harsh and unforgiving Australian outback.
An American couple, Wade (Taylor Wiese) and Lisa (Lauren Lofberg), travel Down Under to experience nature at its finest. But their vacation gets off to a rocky start when Lisa rejects Wade’s marriage proposal. As their relationship strains, they head inland to Uluru (Ayres Rock). On remote dirt roads, their GPS plays-up and they find themselves stranded and ill- prepared. With only each other to rely on, the two are driven to extremes in order to stay alive in the harsh and unforgiving Australian Outback.

There’s no word yet as to when OUTBACK will receive an Australian release but Lionsgate will release the film on June 9th in the States to DVD, Digital & On-Demand.
