If the name Emily Hagins sounds familiar, it may be because you’ve heard the incredible story of how she got her start as a filmmaker.
At the age of 11, Hagins had not only written and directed a number of short films but actually written a feature film screenplay, PATHOGEN. A few years later that screenplay won a production grant and by the age of 15, Hagins had directed and premiered it. Since PATHOGEN, Hagins has written and directed a number of films including the Netflix hit COIN HEIST as well as contributing segments to the horror anthologies SCARE PACKAGE and CHILLING VISIONS: 5 SENSES OF FEAR.
Hagins’ latest work is a comedy-horror, SORRY ABOUT THE DEMON, that had its world premiere last year at London’s prestigious genre festival Fright Fest and is now streaming on SHUDDER.
