THE UNHOLY Trailer & Release Date Revealed!

First up this is not a remake of Vestron’s 1988 underrated unholy roller of the very same name, this THE UNHOLY is based off James Herbert’s novel SHRINE by and has been adapted and directed by Evan Spiliotopoulos, with the pedigree of being produced by Sam Raimi (EVIL DEAD).

THE UNHOLY follows Alice (Cricket Brown), a young hearing-impaired girl who, after a supposed visitation from the Virgin Mary, is inexplicably able to hear, speak and heal the sick. As word spreads and people from near and far flock to witness her miracles, a disgraced journalist (Jeffrey Dean Morgan, THE WALKING DEAD), hoping to revive his career, visits the small New England town to investigate. When terrifying events begin to happen all around, he starts to question if these phenomena are the works of the Virgin Mary or something more sinister.

THE UNHOLY opens in cinemas from April 15
