Neil Talks with Rob Taylor About his Upcoming VHS Collectors Web Series VIDEO HOARDERS!

Cult of Monster‘s own Neil Foley caught up earlier this week with Rob Taylor to discuss his all-new web series, VIDEO HOARDERS.

Taylor, once the frontman for Australian hardcore act PICTURE THE END, turned his sights to filmmaking back in 2013 and has since produced a number of shorts, music videos and popular paranormal documentaries (AUSTRALIAN ENTITIES). His latest venture, VIDEO HOARDERS is a twelve episode series that follows Taylor as he journeys around Australia tracking down likeminded video tape collectors affectionately dubbed ‘tapeheads’ to check out their collections and “search the wild for that next rare find”.

Shot on a combination of high-definition digital and antiquated tape equipment, VIDEO HOARDERS has its own distinct style that while playing to the aesthetic of the program’s content, it maintains a slick presentation.

You catch VIDEO HOARDERS fortnightly on Cult of Monster from Wednesday August 30th.

If you’re Melbourne-based, VIDEO HOARDERS will launch at the Melbourne Movie Market on Saturday August 26th where you’ll be able to get an exclusive sneak peak at the first two episodes and meet Rob Taylor in person!
