MONSTER FEST WEEKENDER: HIGHWAY TO HELL PROGRAM REVEALED
Friday, 29th May
There are few places more likely to kill you than the open road. When you’re on the road, every person you meet is a stranger, death lurks around every turn, and the only protection you have – your vehicle – is a just a fancy crumple zone waiting to happen. This July and August Monster Fest Weekender: Highway to Hell delivers an eight-film descent into pure roadside terror. From killer cars and horrific hitchhikers to repugnant rest stops and satanic sightseers, no freeway is safe and every backroad hides a deadly secret. So fill up your tank, prep your playlist, and watch as the skid marks on the road teleport to the seat of your pants as you join us for three days of vehicular-themed violence, Monster Fest style.
From Friday the 31st of July to Sunday the 2nd of August at Cinema Nova in Melbourne (with dates at Event Cinemas and Dendy Canberra to follow), Monster Fest Weekender: Highway To Hell brings together eight high-octane cult classics guaranteed to leave burning rubber, shattered nerves, and a trail of carnage across the big screen.
FRIDAY JULY 31
Monster Fest Weekender roars to life with George Miller’s post-apocalyptic masterpiece MAD MAX 2: THE ROAD WARRIOR (1981) at 7pm, before the chaos shifts south of the border with a 30th anniversary screening of Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s blood-soaked vampire classic FROM DUSK TILL DAWN (1996) at 9pm.

SATURDAY AUGUST 1
