2020 MONSTER FEST Award Winners!

As 2020 draws to a close and the final date of our 2020 MONSTER FEST festivals has wrapped, the time has come to announce this year’s Award Winners.

Traditionally our MONSTER FEST Awards are held on the Closing Night of the Melbourne festival but in the past the Melbourne festival has taken place three to four weeks ahead of our Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide & Perth dates. In keeping with 2020 and being completely non-traditional, we have refined our award categories down this year to just five and without further ado, here are your 2020 MONSTER FEST Award Winners…

Steven Kostanski, formerly of Canadian film collective Astron-6, followed up his acclaimed 2016 Lovecraftian love letter THE VOID with the light-hearted and ultra-violent slice of cosmic comedy/adventure, PSYCHO GOREMAN. This small-town tale of intergalactic proportions follows two kids who are in possession of a highly coveted magical amulet that allows them the ability to control an ancient alien overlord.
