MONSTER FEST 2026 – DAY 4 IN PICTURES!

Tuesday night at Monster Fest 2026 belonged to short films, twisted fairy tales and killer dolls, with two massive shorts programs bookending a pair of premieres at Cinema Nova.

We kicked things off with SCHOOL OF SHOCK, Monster Fest’s student shorts program showcasing the next generation of genre filmmakers with VOX, THE VELVET VISCERA, PUP, FORGOTTEN BY THE SUN, LA RÊVERIE DE MERA, THE CREEK, THE IRIS THIEF, THREADS, OF RUST AND ROT, DOLLS OF MOUNT MARY, IT and PAST TENANT, followed by a Q&A with filmmakers from the program.

Then it was time for the Australian Premiere of PINOCCHIO UNSTRUNG, putting a decidedly nasty new spin on the classic tale.

Later in the evening the DARK FORCES shorts program brought together ten more journeys into the darker side of genre cinema with YULETIDE, DEVOURER, FACE TO FACE, KAYAMATAH, EEOHTOH, 24HR COURIER, NOT JUST ME, BILLY, FEED THE DARK and DONATION BOX.

And closing out Day 4 was the World Premiere of JEFFREY DOLLMER, Mark Savage’s tale of a seemingly innocent doll with the spirit of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer lurking inside.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Day 4, and especially to all of the short filmmakers who came along to see their work on the big screen.
