MONSTER FEST 2026 – DAY 5 IN PICTURES!
Wednesday night at Monster Fest 2026 brought another huge selection of genre cinema to Cinema Nova, with 17 short films, a deep dive into the world of Charles Band and some old-school 3D creature-feature action filling Day 5.
BLOOD, GUTS AND BAD DECISIONS: MONSTER FEST SHORTS PROGRAM delivered nine tales of gore, chaos and questionable choices with CRAK HACK, THE KILLING GUM, A HAND TO HOLD, A COURT OF CLAWS AND RIESLING, THE COOKIE JAR, WILD GOOSE CHASE, SUNDAY SCARIES, ALMOST AFRAID and WORMZ.
We also celebrated one of the most prolific figures in independent genre cinema with FULL MOON RISING: THE CHARLES BAND STORY, Sarah Appleton’s documentary charting the wild career of the filmmaker and Full Moon founder, before heading back to 1982 for PARASITE 3D, with Demi Moore, mutant parasites and plenty of red-and-blue glasses in the audience.
Rounding out the night was LOSING THE PLOT: MONSTER FEST SHORTS PROGRAM, featuring eight excursions into fractured minds and unraveling realities with EXTRA, BRAINROT, LAWS OF DESIRE, COSMOPOLITAN, RED CLOTH, SPIRAL, LADY PURITAN and DO NO HARM.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Day 5, and to all the filmmakers who came along to see their work with a Monster Fest audience.
