COMING HOME IN THE DARK will be shot over course of the next five weeks around the Wellington region and is the debut feature for director James Ashcroft from a script penned by Ashcroft & Eli Kent.

I’ve always been attracted to intimate, character driven stories investigating ordinary people who do terrible things” says Ashcroft. “COMING HOME IN THE DARK is a fast and terrifying ride with provocative and engaging characters that we haven’t seen in an New Zealand film before. It’s a huge privilege for us to be bringing Owen Marshall’s work to the screen as a feature film for the first time.”

COMING HOME IN THE DARK is produced by Mike Minogue, Desray Armstrong and Catherine Fitzgerald for Homecoming Productions Ltd.

The film is financed by the New Zealand Film Commission and will be distributed in Australia & New Zealand by Monster Pictures with international sales handled by MPI Media Group.
