After an incredible weekend at Cinema Nova, Monster Fest Weekender: Highway To Hell is hitting the road, bringing the same unholy experience to Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth courtesy of Monster Fest and Event Cinemas from September 4-6. From killer cars and horrific hitchhikers to repugnant rest stops and satanic sightseers, HIGHWAY TO HELL is a full-throttle journey through the dark side of the open road. Join us for an eight-film descent into pure roadside terror. So fill up your tank, prep your playlist, and watch as the skid marks on the asphalt teleport to the seat of your pants as you join us for three days of vehicular-themed violence, Monster Fest style.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 4
Monster Fest Weekender roars to life with George Miller’s post-apocalyptic masterpiece MAD MAX 2 (1981) at 7pm, before the chaos shifts south of the border with a 30th anniversary screening of Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s blood-soaked vampire classic FROM DUSK TILL DAWN (1996) at 9pm.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 5
Saturday cranks the terror into overdrive as we join Warren Oates and Peter Fonda for some satanic panic paranoia with RACE WITH THE DEVIL (1975) at 4:30pm, followed by the chainsaw carnage of LEATHERFACE: TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE III (1990) at 7pm, before a 20th anniversary celebration of Alexandre Aja’s savage remake of THE HILLS HAVE EYES (2006) tears the roof off at 9pm.
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 6
We wrap up the festival on Sunday with John Carpenter’s killer-car classic CHRISTINE (1983) at 2pm, the ghostly turbo-charged revenge of THE WRAITH (1986) at 4:30pm, and end things with a bang with Robert Harmon’s relentless highway nightmare THE HITCHER (1986) at 7pm.
