ORDINARY PEOPLE Screens In Melbourne This Friday

Cinemaniacs are hosting a screening this Friday (March 25 – 7:30pm) of Robert Redford’s directorial debut, ORDINARY PEOPLE, at ACMI and tickets are on sale now.

Haunting, introspective and emotionally shattering, ORDINARY PEOPLE stars Donald Sutherland, Timothy Hutton and Mary Tyler Moore in her breakthrough performance as a woman consumed by grief who cannot and will not connect with her tormented teenage son, is a knockout of epic proportions, as intimate as it is.

The screening will be proceeded with a lecture by Lee Gambin, continuing his ‘Can You Dig It?: Tortured Young Men in Cinema of the 70s and 80s’ series.

Melbourne audiences can prepare for a diverse and outstanding 2022 program that includes CREEPSHOW, THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, ALL THAT JAZZ, GUN CRAZY, SQUIRM, BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS and CHILD’S PLAY 2.
