The LuWOW presents the ZOMBIE CANNI-BALL In Melbourne
01Halloween comes early this year with the LuWOW transforming Brunswick’s Stay Gold in Melbourne for a one night only pop-up party, ZOMBIE CANNIB-BALL on Saturday 1 October.
With Live Bands, DJs, Burlesque, a Best Dressed Competition and much more, this is going to be an event not to be missed.
Artists KING CORNELIUS AND THE SILVERBACKS (WA),THE ZOMBIE ELVIS BEACH BAND and THE HANKY PANKY SC will perform live on the night along with DJs BOOBOO MUCK (2SER Sydney), FRANK COTTERELL (NSW) and BARBARA BLAZE (The LuWOW).
SCREAM as hordes of Zombies descend on a completely themed out Stay Gold to party the night away. Prizes for best-dressed zombies! So dress your best and creepiest all sorts of Zombies allowed….Fresh Zombies, Walking Dead Zombies, 50’s zombies.
SHUDDER as three Rot and Roll combos go wild! KING CORNELIUS AND THE SILVERBACKS, from WA, play their Simian Swinging sounds with a creepy feel, a super group of WA music legends. The famous ELVIS BIG BAND morph into ‘THE ZOMBIE ELVIS BEACH BAND’ for a set of corpse shaking surfing Elvis sounds. Rotter Hula Baby? THE HANKY PANKY SC lose a few limbs with their demented Frat Rock hits…Do the Teabag, Land of 1000 Beers, La Bruja they got it all!
GASP as The Grotesque Gogo goddesses do the Zombie Stomp in the skull bedecked GoGo cages, and the horrifying Brain-dead (but body very much alive) Cabaret by Deadimatrix shocks and titillates you in equal measure.
LURCH about to the great GoGo sounds of Dj BooBoo Muck (2SER-NSW), Manky Frankie (NSW) and Barbara Blaze (LuWoW) – Bongo Boogaloo, Yucky Yeye, Screaming Soul, Rott and Roll, Raucous Rhythm and Blues, Blood Pumping Grind, Slimy Surf, Macabre Mambo on original scratchy 45s.
GET LOST in a completely 3D Cinerama Tiki Island of doom set (no space left untouched!). It’s bristling with monsters, skeletons, spiders, ancient deities and carnivorous plants. The undergrowth sparkles with lost treasures and strange beasts. The perfect place for the undead to let loose and lose a limb or two!
