ATTN MELBOURNE! Free Outdoor Screening Of THE BABADOOK

Umbrella Entertainment have partnered with Yarra City Arts for a series of screenings of iconic Australian films this March in a program titled NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH CINEMA.

Screenings will be held in an open air cinema environment at Linear Park (off the corner of Park & Nicholson St) in Fitzroy North and kick off this Friday night (March 4) with a screening of Nadia Tass’s THE BIG STEAL (1990).

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH CINEMA will close March 25 with a screening of Jennifer Kent‘s modern horror classic THE BABADOOK (2014).

THE BABADOOK follows a single mother (Essie Davis) and her child (Noah Wiseman) who fall into a deep well of paranoia when an eerie children’s book titled “Mister Babadook” manifests in their home.

Best of all the screenings are free so bring your blanket, picnic and get ready for some iconic Aussie movies after sunset.
