2023 SCIENCE FICTION FILM FESTIVAL In Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne This Month

Our friends at the SYDNEY SCIENCE FICTION FILM FESTIVAL return for their 2023 this month from August 24-27 at Event Cinemas Macquarie (Sydney) & Event Cinemas Myer Centre (Brisbane) and August 31-September 3 at Cinema Nova (Melbourne).

Festival Director Simon Foster has compiled an incredible program comprising of the latest Sci-Fi features from around the globe including MOLLI AND MAX IN THE FUTURE, FIRST TIME CALLER, JULES and WINTERTIDE along with some retrospective classics like THE TWILIGHT ZONE MOVIE (1983) and ELECTRIC DREAMS (1984).

Sydney & Melbourne audiences can also look forward to an out-of-this-world Double Feature of THE BLOB (1988) and KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE (1988) ahead of the festival dates with this ’80s Sci-Fi Spectacular occurring on August 19 at Sydney’s Skyline Drive-In and August 27 at Melbourne’s Cinema Nova.
