SHARKSPLOITATION Headed To SHUDDER This July

There’s never been a better time for a SHARKSPLOITATION documentary with THE BLACK DEMON having recently stalked cinemas and MEG 2: THE TRENCH due in cinemas in August.

From director Stephen Scarlata (JODOROWSKY’S DUNE), SHARKSPLOITATION premieres on SHUDDER July 21 and is a deepdive into the beloved subgenre that began with the classic blockbuster JAWS and explores the weird, wild cinematic legacy of sharks on film and the world’s undying fascination.

Among the interviewees in the documentary, there’s director Joe Dante (PIRANHA, JAWS 3 PEOPLE 0), producer Roger Corman (SHARKTOPUS, DINOSHARK), screenwriter Carl Gottlieb (JAWS 1-3) and director Johannes Roberts (47 METERS BELOW).
