US Announce THE LIGHTHOUSE Home Entertainment Release!

While Australia waits for Universal Pictures to announce a local theatrical release for THE LIGHTHOUSE, the sophomore feature from visionary filmmaker Robert Eggers (THE WITCH), A24 have announced they will release the film to Digital HD on December 20th followed by a physical release on Blu-ray & DVD on January 7th 2020.
The-Lighthouse_BD_3DA24’s Blu-ray release will include the following Special Features:

  • “THE LIGHTHOUSE: A Dark & Stormy Tale” Featurette
  • Audio Commentary with Co-Writer & Director Robert Eggers
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Optional English SDH and Spanish subtitles for the main feature

THE LIGHTHOUSE is a tale of two lighthouse keepers (Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson) on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s. As an approaching storm threatens to sweep them from the rock and strange apparitions emerge from the fog, each man begins to suspect that the other has become dangerously unmoored.

THE LIGHTHOUSE will make its Australian debut in a week’s run at Perth Festival in Western Australia from Monday the 13th – Sunday the 19th of January. Aside from that we’ve heard rumours of a tentative February 6th 2020 theatrical release but stay tuned as we’ll be sure to confirm a date once we hear it officially!
