Brisbane, Up For Another Bite Of CAGE?
Brisbanites, are you hungry for RENFIELD but keen for another bite of Nicolas Cage in the interim?
Well ABC Radio Brisbane‘s weekly “Classic Movies Project” segment have you sorted this Friday night as they go LIVE at New Farm Cinemas for some Classic Cage!
Director Simon West’s 1997 actioner CON AIR will screen at the New Farm Cinemas, what’s more it’ll be presented as it were upon release, on glorious 35mm.
ABC Radio host Kat Feeney and Trash Video Archives’ Andrew Leavold will introduce the film at 7pm, and do a “Classic Movies Project” discussion with the audience straight after.
So join the Cage Team for a wild and bumpy ride back to Nineties Action Cinema!
With an all-star that includes John Cusack, John Malkovich, Steve Buscemi & Ving Rhames along with that infectious LeAnn Rimes hit single “How Do I Live” that’s seemingly haunted radio since the film’s release, CON AIR is a no holds barred nineties action masterwork.
Newly paroled ex-con and former U.S. Ranger Cameron Poe (Cage) finds himself trapped in a prisoner transport plane when the passengers seize control.
CON AIR screens this Friday 19th May 7pm at New Farm Cinemas.
Be sure to catch Kat and Andrew every Wednesday afternoon at 2:15pm on ABC Radio Brisbane, 612FM or stream live.
