Trailer Drops for Monster Fest 2023 Official Selection TIME ADDICTS
Hot on the heels of last Friday’s announcement of the World Premiere of filmmaker Sam Odlum‘s Australian Sci-Fi/Comedy TIME ADDICTS to come at MONSTER FEST 2023 in Melbourne this October, Umbrella Entertainment have just dropped the Trailer for the film.
The debut feature film by New Zealand writer/director Sam Odlum, starring Freya Tingley (HEMLOCK GROVE) and Charles Grounds (BABYTEETH), TIME ADDICTS delves into the human condition, where addiction, friendship and the search for redemption all come to play.
In desperate debt to their volatile drug dealer, best friends, Denise (Tingley) and Johnny (Grounds), agree to a sketchy job to pay off their last hit – breaking into a decrepit stash house to steal a bag of mysterious drugs. But whilst getting into the house may be easy, escape proves more troublesome, as the pair find themselves trapped inside with a deranged fiend. With no way out and not one to miss an opportunity, Johnny smokes the new drug and promptly travels into the past, triggering alarming new events in the future. Separated through time, Denise is left alone to confront her past, their dealer Kane’s real identity, and her very own existence.
Odlum says, “Inspired by Phillip K. Dick’s science fiction classics and modern Korean cinema, TIME ADDICTS blends a combination of genres to become its own entity. The film’s tone was extremely important to me, with every creative department working together to steer into the unpredictable nature of the narrative and create drug-fuelled situations that are at times high stakes, ridiculous and emotional. We can’t wait to share the film with audiences.”
Filmed in Melbourne with the assistance of VicScreen, TIME ADDICTS is an Exile Entertainment and Lex Neville production.
Session tickets to TIME ADDICTS at MONSTER FEST will go on sale late-September but for now you can grab a Festival Pass to guarantee getting a ticket to the session.
VIP Pass $330
The VIP Pass is valid for all sessions including Opening Night, Closing Night and Special Events at Monster Fest from Thursday 12th to Sunday 22nd of October 2023. It cannot be used for multiple tickets to the same session or for sessions that run concurrently.
10 Film Pass $160
The 10 Film Pass may be used for any 10 Monster Fest film sessions from Friday 13th October to Sunday 22nd October excluding Opening Night, Closing Night and Special Events. It cannot be used for multiple tickets to the same session or for sessions that run concurrently.
5 Film Pass $85
The 5 Film Pass may be used for any 5 Monster Fest film sessions from Friday 13th October to Sunday 22nd October excluding Opening Night, Closing Night and Special Events. It cannot be used for multiple tickets to the same session or for sessions that run concurrently.
