ROB ZOMBIE’S HALLOWEEN I & II Ultimate Edition – Blu-ray Unboxing & Review
Via Vision Entertainment have just released Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN I & II in an Ultimate Edition Double Feature or should we say Quadriple Feature to Blu-ray and here’s a look at it…
Comprised of four Blu-ray discs, this set includes both the Theatrical and Director’s Cuts for HALLOWEEN I & II.
This is the first-time that the Theatrical Cut of HALLOWEEN I has been released on home entertainment in Australia and likewise that the Director’s Cut of HALLOWEEN II has been released domestically on physical media. As it stands this is a first that both cuts of both films have been compiled into the one set globally.
In terms of Special Features, this set ports all of the legacy content from both films including the four and a half hour documentary Michael Lives: The Making of Halloween.

Transfers of the Theatrical Cuts are the same as those that appeared on the Alliance release in Canada and the Director’s Cuts the same as those that of the Genius Products and Sony Pictures releases in the United States respectively (and also in Scream Factory’s Complete Collection). As four audio, all four features have DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 tracks.
This HALLOWEEN I & II Ultimate Edition is a non-limited set though it’s unknown how long ViaVision will continue to print Slipcovers for the package so if that’s something that appeals to you, you better grab it asap.
Regardless of your opinions on Rob Zombie’s take on the Halloween franchise, there’s no denying that is an excellent set of the films.
